Misa Jade Kaneshiro, 98, of Hilo died Feb. 1 at a private nursing home in Keaau. Born in Turlock, California, and sent with her family to the Amache Relocation Center in Granada, Colorado during World War II, she was a board member of the former Food Fair and Kaneshiro &Sons supermarkets, wife homemaker, gardener, member of the senior bowling alley. teams and a Hawaiian quilt and feather collar maker. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary donations). He is survived by children, Karleen Tindall of San Francisco, Sheila Yamamoto of Honolulu, Glenn (Lynnette) Kaneshiro of Hilo, Diane Pierce of Volcano, Gale (James Pullen) Kaneshiro of San Diego and Janice (Steward) Nazzaro of Denver; brother, George Yokoi of El Cerrito, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Takeko Inouye of San Francisco and Sadako Kaneshiro of Hilo; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; Arranged by Dodo Mortuary.
