Scotiabank Retains Position as T&T’s Best Digital Bank

Scotiabank has been named Trinidad and Tobago’s Best Consumer Digital Bank in 2022 by Global Finance (New York).

This is the second consecutive year that the Bank has received this award.

Global Finance’s selection criteria included: strength of strategy to attract and serve digital customers, success of customer adoption of digital offerings, growth of digital customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits derived from digital initiatives and Design & Functionality.

Gayle Pazos, Managing Director, Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago, expressed the Bank’s joy at winning the award and its commitment to continuous improvement.

She said: “We are delighted to see that our digital investments continue to be recognized by global standards of excellence. This award highlights our innovative use of technology.

Pazos thanked customers for their input noting that many of the improvements made were based on their feedback.

“It’s such an exciting time in the banking industry, and we remain committed to making further improvements towards safer, faster and more convenient solutions for our customers.

I am also extremely proud of how our winning team has continued to meet our customers’ digital needs during this multi-year pandemic,” she concluded.

Over the past year, the Bank has introduced several new features to the Scotia Caribbean app, such as digital onboarding, allowing customers to open deposit or credit card accounts and various payment options.

Scotiabank also saw an increase in digital transactions of over one million or 42%.
